Yearguntanium is a metal, found in the crust of the planet upon which the Fracture is located, with a quality that has it absorb energies at a phenomenal rate, in comparison to other metals.

Yearguntanium is used most prominantly as a weapon against Sages. Its energy absorbing potential can render a Sage almost completely vulnerable when nearbye, as its leaves the Magic-user with no energies to use with their powers.
It can also be liquidized and placed into an individual'sbloodstream. Whilst a typcal living creature would lose enough energy to die from this, a Sage would simply lose their powers, until the liquid is eradicated from their system.
Yearguntanium is rarely used for such things other than to weaken a Sage, as it is not a particularly strong metal; an inch-thick sheet of the metal can be easily bent by a creature with the strength of a juvenile human
